I was there when Tom discharged the firearm at friendship and they kicked him out so he decided to buy the place across the creek my dad who was his best friend Richard Lee Marquette were there from the beginning it was a mud hole. Tom my dad and the rest of the guys would play poker in the old house on the hill and the big fire pit outside where everybody used to sit and b*******. We had a signal cannon from the 7th Cavalry which we fired into the side of the Hill. I'm sure friendship regrets kicking Tom out when I was a little boy I would say Mr Kerr and he would say call me Tom I knew him long before they got friendship. We dress in our uniforms because Tom had hundreds I worked in the concessions for him and he paid me off with uniforms so I could dress up never forget it. My father was abusive and when we were at Tom and Rosemary's house shooting off fireworks Tom had bought a whole fireworks Factory more fireworks than I'd ever seen in my life am I excitement I somehow angered my father tried to hit me and rosemary stepped in front of him and let him know he would not be walking very well if he touch me. Putting him in this place immediately. In those days women didn't stand up like that and I always admired her for that and never forgot it it always wanted to thank her. She was not intimidated by men like most women. But they were both so nice to me all the time as a child fantastic memories I will never lose

Friendship has been one of the most amazing experiences we have had living in Indiana. We have taken our now 8 yr old granddaughter every year since she was born and can't wait to go every year it is the high light of her summer! And ours to be able to share this with her 💖 I hope there is always a Friendship to share with her children and her grandchildren it is one of those things that always makes you feel like a kid again 💖
